The New RS Protein® was evaluated for improving the intestinal health of pets, sponsored by the SBIR program, Ministry of Economic Affairs, in 2013.
Mice experiments: after 2% Dextran Sulfate Sodium (DSS) was added to the drinking water of mice for 14 days, the DSS was removed to observe intestinal bleeding. At this time the New RS group was fed with 0.4mg/kg New RS Protein® powder per day.
Results show that feeding mice with New RS Protein® significantly decreases bleeding caused by DSS, indicating intestinal protection.
